Job Summary
The Behavioral Healthcare Specialist provides clinical assessment/problem identification, individual, family, and group therapy, and case management. This role develops and monitors treatment plans, documents significant interactions, and maintains clinical charts.
This position requires licensure or provisional licensure and a Master's degree in a mental health field. The successful candidate will be responsible for reported to the Department Lead.
Essential Functions
- Provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral health clients
- Provides clinically appropriate therapy utilizing best practices whenever possible
- Participates in departmental quality assurance and utilization management activities
- Maintains clinical documentation in accordance with department policy
- Adheres to established policies and procedures for Behavioral Health services
