Position: Custodial

Part-Time up to 24 hrs

Location: Campbell County Senior Center

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs and air fresheners; refill restroom dispensers
• Clean and sanitize restroom using established practices and procedures
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum carpets.
• Wash accessible interior windows and clean blinds.
• Assist in care and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Shall be aware of and work towards all cost control measures
• Shall posses an awareness of the importance of good grooming and sanitary requirements of persons connected with custodial department
• Shall be aware of and comply with the State Health Code Regulations
• Occasionally assist other departments within the Senior Center as needed
• Adhere to policies and procedures on confidentiality in and out of the Senior Center
• Provide excellent customer service and customer satisfaction
• demonstrate proper lifting techniques
• Maintain a positive "can-do" attitude
• Promote and demonstrate a positive working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Stoop, reach for and lift cleaning equipment
• May be required to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of 50 lbs.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours

Environmental Demands:

• Working independently for major portion of shift
• Lifting heavy trash containers
• Operating heavy duty cleaning equipment
• exposure to cleaning chemicals
• exposure to elements of weather, cold and hot temperatures, rain, sleet, snow- Etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Must submit to two back ground screenings and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be a citizen of the United States of America or eligible to work in the United State of America
• Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing in the English Language
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal standards and regulations to maintain health, sanitation, and safety in all areas
• Experience in commercial cleaning, helpful, but not required
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions, equipment operating manuals, work orders, safety rules, and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• possess a high level of self-motivation
• Reliable confidentiality practices
