Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Dietetics and be passionate about improving patient outcomes through nutritional care. This role involves working closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and dietary staff to develop and implement effective nutrition care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly in acute care settings and geriatrics.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of patients' nutritional status and dietary needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure appropriate meal planning and food service delivery.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding nutrition, dietary restrictions, and healthy eating habits.
- Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring enteral nutrition.
- Work within a hospital or acute care environment to support interdisciplinary teams in optimizing patient health outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, particularly as it relates to nutrition and health.
- Experience in geriatrics or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and the development of effective dietary interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment while managing multiple patient cases.
