We are currently seeking to hire an experienced, compassionate, strong and energetic RN Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Orange County, NY.
The RN Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards and managing the nursing department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the nursing team to deliver high-quality care to our residents
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Participate in the hiring and training of nursing staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
- Manage the nursing budget and ensure efficient use of resources
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of nursing regulations and standards
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
