POSITION OVERVIEW

 Campbell Oil is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Compliance and Safety to oversee and ensure that all Little Caesars, Arby’s, and Biggby Coffee restaurant locations comply with brand standards and franchise requirements. This role emphasizes a proactive approach to teaching, coaching, training, and maintaining cleanliness across all sites to achieve the highest levels of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

Compliance Management:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure all restaurant locations adhere to brand standards and franchise requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
  • Serve as the point of contact for brand and franchise representatives, ensuring alignment with their standards and requirements.

      Safety Oversight:

  • Establish and manage safety protocols to create a safe environment for employees and customers at all locations.
  • Partner with restaurant management teams to conduct safety assessments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead investigations and resolutions for safety incidents, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.

   Training and Coaching:

  • Develop and deliver training programs on brand standards, safety, compliance, and cleanliness for restaurant teams.
  • Mentor and coach managers and team members to foster a culture of excellence in compliance and safety.
  • Create and distribute educational materials, checklists, and training guides to reinforce best practices.

Cleanliness and Sanitation Standards:

  • Oversee the implementation of cleanliness standards, ensuring restaurants maintain top-tier sanitation practices.
  • Regularly inspect locations for adherence to cleanliness protocols, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on handling cleanliness issues, including equipment maintenance and food safety practices.

     Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain reporting systems to track compliance, safety, and cleanliness metrics across locations.
  • Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting compliance levels, safety concerns, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with district leaders and general managers to address and resolve compliance issues promptly.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Occupational Health, or related field; advanced certifications in safety, compliance, or food safety a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a compliance, safety, or operational role within the restaurant or food service industry.
  • Proven experience in training, coaching, and mentoring teams to achieve compliance and operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations as they apply to the restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Willingness to travel to various restaurant locations as required.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Little Caesars, Arby’s, or Biggby Coffee.
  • Experience working within a franchise framework, with an understanding of franchise compliance requirements.
  • Certification in food safety management (e.g., ServSafe) or similar.
