ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Deliver parts and merchandise to customers and make pickups at supplier locations, while properly processing and maintaining invoices and credits as necessary.
Make pickups at supplier locations.
Maintain excellent customer service.
Exercise responsibility for the maintenance of delivery vehicle and maintain an insurable driving record.
Assist in the warehouse as needed.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
Assist in other areas as required. Must stay current on company product line. Ability to work when scheduled. Comply with company policies and procedures not to exclude safety regulations. Responsible for care of equipment.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILTY
Skill in computer operations needed. Ability to listen and communicate with customers and co-workers. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to make decisions. Knowledge of sales. Ability to read and understand parts catalog, service manuals and schematics. Knowledge of company products.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENAL CONDITIONS
This position is located in the office, warehouse and shop area. Exposures to dirt, dust, cold, and heat. Mobility of walking, standing, kneeling, and bending are frequent. Ability to operate all necessary equipment. Dexterity, hearing, and talking requirements are constant. Visual ability to operate and read is frequent. The employee will occasionally lift up to and over 80 pounds. Exposure to noise, fumes, and odors several times a week. Employee is exposed to mechanical, chemical, electrical, and fire hazards on a regular basis. Ability to operate a forklift.
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS
Education
A high school diploma and/or GED are required. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
Experience
A minimum of one-year to six months in a delivery environment preferred.
Licenses of Certificates
A valid driver’s license is required. Certification as a forklift operator is required.
Appearance/Uniforms
All employees must maintain a neat, clean well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards available)
Other
Normal Hours of Work Vary(8 hrs per day): 7 A.M. until 8:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Subject to change by Direct Supervisor and/or upper Management. Overtime may be required with or without notice. Traveling may be required.
