Compensation and Calendar
- 113,776.32 - $140,182.12 annually (Cert Mgt Range 4)
- Master's and doctoral supplements of $2,797.00 annually
- One-time Spanish bilingual signing incentive available upon passing a test of fluency. Annual bilingual stipend available for individuals who demonstrate fluency in Spanish, Chinese-Mandarin, or Korean.
- Staff have the choice of several HMO / PPO medical plans, including several that require no employee contribution for full family coverage
- 198 day calendar
General Description
The School Counselor designs and delivers comprehensive school counseling programs that promote student achievement, focus on student outcomes, are a collaborative effort between the guidance department, parents and other educators, and ensure equitable access to opportunities and rigorous curriculum for all students to participate fully in the educational process. The School Counselor is responsible for the successful implementation of these programs so that all students are both college and career-ready and are equipped to persist in their life path.
Primary Responsibilities
School Counselors develop, plan, implement, and evaluate school counseling and guidance programs which include academic, career, personal, and social / emotional development. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following :
