Position : Admissions Support Specialist for Campus Visits & International Admissions

Position Summary :

The Admissions Support Specialist for Campus Visits and International Admissions is responsible for answering phones, greeting guests, triage for the building / campus, and partnering with International Enrollment Services to assist the international community. This includes attention to exceptional service and detail, along with problem solving for visiting prospective students and families as well as internation students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Serve as primary greeter and provide a welcoming environment for visiting students / families and international students.
  • For individual student / family visits to the University

Monitoring the visit during actual day - troubleshooting / resolving issues that arise.

  • Produce monthly reports for staff to analyze visit effectiveness.
  • Establish workflow systems with the International Enrollment Services office to best support prospective, currently enrolled, and graduated international students.
  • Participate in Admissions events including, but not limited to, Open Houses, Campus Visits, Scholarship Competitions, Accepted Student Days, and New Student Orientations.
  • Pay daily attention to facilities used by guests, identify for facilities follow up.
  • Maintain the hospitality area.
  • Primary contact for multiple phone lines.
  • Provide backup as requested for admissions administrative team functions.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, Information Security, FERPA, and all federal and state mandates.
  • Other job-related duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Education / Experience :

  • Previous Administrative Assistant or comparable customer service work experience.
  • Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector desired.
  • Experience as a paralegal or with international students preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and explain University rules, regulations, and policies in specific admissions cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard methods of digital communication, including web / text / chat platforms.
  • Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university or government officials, and the public.
  • Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
  • Exercise good judgment in complex, new, and / or stressful situations.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects, while paying attention to detail and meeting set deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours.
  • This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity, and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.
  • Ability to be physically present and work in office Monday through Friday, plus some occasional weekend events.
