Position Summary:
The CPHS Program Manager – Nursing oversees the daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual operations of the Nursing program. This person manages the financial, communications and administrative functions of the Department and assists with the human resource functions. This position also manages the student service functions of the Nursing program. The program manager is the point of contact for the program, and as such, must be able to interact professionally with both the university and outside community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage departmental budget and expenditures, order supplies, manage inventory/procurement, reviewing and processing reimbursements, process requests for payments and budget reconciliation.
- Acts as the primary contact for faculty, staff, community members, and over 100 students regarding all Campbell Nursing inquiries, serving as the sole staff member fully dedicated to the nursing program. Functions as the sole staff support fully dedicated to the nursing program.
- Works directly with the Chair/Director of Nursing to ensure adherence to accreditation standards and changes.
- Provide administrative support to the program director, handling communications through internal and external emails, phone calls, and written correspondence with the university, outside institutions, and vendors.
- Facilitate student engagement by managing course registration, degree audits, curricular progression, graduation registration, support for financial aid and scholarships.
- Provide assistance with curriculum, student organization, exam management, and oversight of exam integrity.
- Serve as liaison within the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, other departments, and operating units at the university, and serve on committee assignments.
- Create and maintain necessary records and reports as required by the Nursing program.
- Assist with program effectiveness, self-evaluation and assessment, implementation of policies and procedures, and identifying and collaborating with director and team regarding program improvements.
- Assist the Director with the paperwork required for hiring faculty. Manage the hiring process for adjuncts and graduate assistants, including clinical preceptors and part-time/adjunct/guest speakers. This involves preparing and coordinating contracts and submitting necessary documentation to Human Resources. Oversight of scheduling, preparation of agendas, and creation/distribution of minutes for various departmental meetings and retreats including external meetings with Board of Advisors.
- Coordinate event planning for program events and assist in event planning across the college.
- Supports the CPHS staff transition goal of working together.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in professional experience
- 3-5 years of previous experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of Campbell University policies and procedures including but not limited to Title IX, HIPAA, and FERPA guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) as well as various other cloud-based computing, productivity, and collaboration tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to independently establish effective working relationships with various organizations and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
- Strong organization and independent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to prioritize, work independently, and make timely decisions.
- Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public
