Campbellsville University invites applications for a position in Mathematics to begin August 2025. The successful candidate must have the appropriate training, academic background, and experience to teach general education math courses. The candidate must have sufficient skill to be effective in the modern classroom environment. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as integration of a learning management system into in-seat / online / hybrid delivery will be required.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop lectures, demonstrations, assignments, and enrichment activities to successfully deliver and assess course content in undergraduate general education math courses at the Campbellsville campus, at the Harrodsburg campus, online, and at the regional centers (as needed).
- Maintain regular office hours for advising students.
- Assist students by continually monitoring and evaluating students' progress and making appropriate referrals to academic and personal support services, as necessary, to meet student needs.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching within a Christian environment.
- Provide a Christian role model for students.
- Maintain a strong interest in the pursuit of knowledge and share it with students and scholars.
- Accept assignments on committees, sponsor student activities, and actively participate in university life.
- Participate in academic unit meetings and cooperate with other members of the faculty.
- Attend meetings, retreats, workshops as requested and / or designated.
- Participate in collaborative projects as requested and / or assigned.
- Support the institution's Christian mission, including attendance at chapel services, scheduled or called meetings, commencement programs, and Faculty Forum meetings.
