What Does an RV Technician Do?
RV Technicians are versatile professionals who handle a wide range of repairs and maintenance across multiple systems, including:
✔ Electrical & Solar Systems – 12V/120V wiring, batteries, inverters
✔ Plumbing & Water Systems – Freshwater, gray/black tanks, water heaters
✔ LP Gas & Appliances – Furnaces, refrigerators, ovens, stoves
✔ HVAC Systems – Air conditioning, heat pumps, ductwork
✔ Slide-Outs & Leveling Systems – Hydraulic/mechanical slide-outs, jacks
✔ Chassis & Body Repairs – Structural fixes, sealant work, towing setups
RV Technicians are problem solvers who work on a variety of projects—every day is different!

Qualifications & Skills:
✔ 2 years of experience in RV repair (or related fields such as automotive, marine, diesel, or HVAC)
✔ Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers
✔ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety manuals and schematics
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for various repairs
✔ Ability to wear protective clothing and use safety equipment as required by OSHA regulations
✔ Ability to tow RVs of various sizes as needed
✔ Physical stamina and dexterity, including:
🔹 Standing for long periods
🔹 Reaching above shoulders
🔹 Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs
🔹 Adjusting, climbing ladders, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending as needed
