Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP, a premier law firm with offices across Long Island, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a full-time role in our Ronkonkoma office. This fast-paced role is a great opportunity to put your skills to work supporting the law firm and multiple related entities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Record daily cash receipts and maintain filing system for multiple entities
- Prepare monthly client invoices and send out Accounts Receivable statements
- Follow up with clients regarding collection of open balances
- Record cash disbursements, issue checks, and maintain filing system for multiple entities
- Coordinate and manage payment arrangements with vendors
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare credit card journal entries and accumulate supporting documentation for purchases from various departments
- Assist Controller with other special projects as needed
- Recommend processes and procedures to increase overall efficiency of department
Qualifications
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy
- Must be a strong communicator and keep Controller apprised of any issues as they occur
- Relevant experience required
- Must be adept at using a variety of software programs
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Excel preferred
