GIS Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, update and maintain enterprise geographic databases.
• Reviewing records in Esri ArcMap, updating PowerApps, and maintaining documentation, verify data validation and confirm accuracy
• Create, maintain, and document versions of data for display on pipeline centerline maps, alignment maps and station drawings.
• Analyze information and evaluate its applicability to the GIS system.
• Report GIS pipeline and related data in query, tabular report, and graphical (Map) formats.
• Manage and troubleshoot validation tools (PowerBI, Power Automate, PowerApps), update DAX logic, and address process issues.
• Resolve PowerApps issues, design new features, and manage record visibility. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1 year’s prior experience working with GIS.
• Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience. Natural gas distribution knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with creating, updating and maintaining geographic databases.
• Knowledge of ESRI's 9.3 & 10.x ArcGIS Desktop software.
• Experience working both independently and, in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Power Platform knowledge (PowerBI, Power Automate, PowerApps, Report Builder)
• Basic knowledge of GIS platforms such as ArcMap or ArcPRO.
• Prior VBA or DAX coding a plus

• Ability to work on multiple projects and to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as the situation demands.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Server as well as GIS scripting languages, Python, ArcObjects, Visual Basic, HTML and JavScript

Compensation : $70K - $78 K

Salary : $70,000 - $78,000
