What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locate Coordinator position at CAMPOS EPC?
Summary:
The Locate Coordinator is responsible for managing the preparation and submission of 811 locates for various construction projects, coordinating with engineering teams to gather the required documentation and ensuring that all submissions meet the specified standards. Additionally, they work with the construction teams to track the status of 811 locates, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise, and communicating with relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands all 811 requirements. This includes each applicable state requirements that work is conducted in.
- Ability to obtain local state requirements that allow online access to 811 ticket entry systems
- Acquires all 811 locates needed to enable construction activities. Prepares and updates internal locate tracking reports and schedules.
- Provides direct interface with contractors, jurisdictional authorities, etc. Works with the project team to understand priorities and communicate locate status.
- Prioritizes 811 locates submittals based upon review and schedules.
- Maintains detailed records and reports related to all communication and interaction.
- Adheres to and promotes the environmental, health and safety policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of the department and the Company.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent length of experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
