What we do: Campus Adventures is a before and after school program that partners with local schools to provide care on the school campus! We offer STEAM based learning in a club style environment.
To be successful as an Assistant Campus Lead, you should be passionate about education, have strong leadership skills and exceptional relationship building skills. Ultimately, an exceptional Assistant Campus Lead should be knowledgeable of Child Care Minimum Standards, demonstrate excellent problem-solving and always does what is right for children.
Schedule
28 hours per week; Monday – Friday, 6:30am-8:00am, 2:00pm – close of program (usually 6:45/7:00pm)
Responsibilities
· Assist the Campus Lead in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives
· Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
· Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners
· Serve in various roles throughout the program as needed, including Site Teacher and Campus Lead
· Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required
· At least one year of early childhood education experience required, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and the ability to ensure its use in the classroom
· Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills required
· CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
· Meet state specific guidelines for the role
· Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work outdoors
· Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity such as running and jumping
· Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents
