Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding merchandise and services.
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions, including cash register operations.
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring that products are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about new items and promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop, including inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide information about products and services.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist in inventory control and sales tracking.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about shop offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to operate a cash register and perform basic financial transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management.
- A passion for golf or familiarity with golf equipment is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
