Campus Construction Management Group is looking for an experienced Project Executive to join our team serving the Syracuse, NY Region. The Project Executive is responsible for providing managerial leadership for Campus Construction Management Group Inc., promoting client satisfaction. This position requires the individual to have the personal attributes to manage, direct, mentor and support employees through their daily work while demonstrating Campus Construction Management’s corporate philosophy of outstanding business ethics and principles.
Duties & responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Assists with training Project Managers, Field Managers and Administrative Assistants, including enlisting outside consultants to support these efforts, as needed.
- Assists with employee development and recruiting of qualified staff.
- Facilitates all project kickoff, planning and review meetings.
Project Management: Reviews and approves all subcontracts, together with contract status log.
- Assists Vice President with contract negotiations.
- Maintains the “Work in Process” schedule tied directly to forecasting.
- Ensures successful management of all projects from “cradle to grave” ensuring projects are closed out in an expeditious manner including final payment and customer satisfaction.
- Provides oversight of project budgets and master schedules.
Finance: Provides proactive, accurate labor forecasting including scheduling and labor loading to prove budgets.
- Monitors detailed job cost forecasting including detailed disclosure of movement between budgets and actual costs.
- Ensures accurate project scheduling and progression by Project Managers utilizing project management software.
- Provides fiscal projections reporting and ensures alignment with company financials.
Risk Management: Oversees the Profit and Loss for all projects.
- Reviews project documentation including Cost-to-Completes, schedules, project planning reports and overviews, and ensures concise and detailed forecasting for all at risk expenditures.
- Ensures compliance for project controls per company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

- Strong negotiation skills.
- A demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff in meeting goals and deadlines.
- A demonstrated ability to achieve key objectives.
Education & experience: Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering or Business or an equivalent combination of related work experience, training and/or education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of construction work experience, with seven (7) years of experience managing people and projects.
