Responsibilities
The Job At-A- Glance:
Campus Life & Style is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing various corporate accounting functions, supporting our financial operations, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The Corporate Accountant will report directly to the Vice President, Corporate Controller. and must excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Treasury and Banking
- Manage treasury operations, including daily cash flow monitoring and reporting.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
General Accounting
- Oversee intercompany billings and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Manage corporate credit card oversight and reconciliation processes.
- Execute month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in variance analysis and provide insights for financial performance improvement.
Accounts Payable
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Tax Compliance and Investor Relations
- Facilitate the preparation and organization of documents for tax return filings.
- Assist with investor relations by preparing financial reports and distributing investor communications.
- Coordinate investor distributions and ensure timely processing.

Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelor degree; and 2 plus years’ experience in the student/multi-family housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant Systems and Platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Property Management software (Entrata).
- Working knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs and Fair Housing Laws and EEO Laws.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of GAAP-based accounting principles.
- Exceptional Excel skills, including proficiency with functions like VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP.
- Ability to handle credit card management and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working independently under tight deadlines.
