Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Experience and/or Education in the areas of Nutrition, Food Safety, Sanitation Processes and Food Preparation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
General Intent of the Position:
The Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher is jointly responsible with the Kitchen Manager for the overall operation of the Campus Pre-School food program including food preparation, cleaning, and sanitation. This is done in accordance with the federal USDA Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) and Department of Health standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with USDA guidelines
- Maintain a sanitary kitchen in accordance with Department of Health standards
- Wash and put away tableware, pots and pans and utensils
- Assist in preparation and distribution of tableware and food to and from classrooms
- Conduct periodic inspections of kitchen tools and equipment including but not limited to all food storage equipment on site in cooperation with the Kitchen Manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
