JOB TITLE: ASSEMBLY CLASSIFICATION NO. 17-1
LOCATION: MONDIAL PARKWAY LEVEL: 17
Tools And Equipment:
Hammers, scales, wrenches, clamps, files, chisels, drills, portable electric drill, hand reamers and taps, portable grinders, buffers, micrometers, dividers, square, trammels, and other machinist?s hand tools. Drill press, bandsaw, bench vise, electric pipe threaders and cutters and electric hand hack saw. Step ladder, portable scaffold and platform, paint brushes, steam cleaner, power driven pendant and chain hoists. Lift truck and pallet jack.
Material:
Metal and plastic, machine parts, castings, fabricating structures and extruded metal forms, paint rubber.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepares area, set, align, fit, file, scrape, ream and grind parts to assemble and sub assemble machinery. Works from mechanical drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to assemble parts to meet specifications. Layout work, fabricate parts and drill and tap parts for assembly. Assists in machine checkout by operating machinery for checking, inspecting, and testing. Polish and deburr. Use aligning devices to align machine and log measurements. Hand drilling and tapping, machine tapping on portable drill press. Operate equipment to perform hydraulic, air & water piping operation. Identify parts on order, safety stock incoming parts, monitor part deliveries, part quality, and perform inventory counts as required. Utilizes computer to obtain drawings and bills of material.

Directs material handler, welder & painter.
