As a CAMS Community Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of homeowners' associations, building relationships with boards of directors, and providing them with the trusted guidance they deserve. Our managers receive internal support from specialized teams dedicated to assisting both you and the members of the communities we serve.
What You'll Do Here
- Maintain open communication with boards of directors and homeowners.
- Prepare and present budgets to your boards.
- Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports for your boards.
- Create monthly management reports.
- Contact and coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects.
- Oversee the daily operations of your portfolio of communities.
- Regularly attend board meetings as well as internal team meetings.
- Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in learning new technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports.
- Familiarity with insurance related to HOAs.
- Understanding of contractual bidding processes.
- Knowledge of proper meeting procedures.
- Familiarity with the architectural request process.
- Ability to create and maintain a working budget.
Preferred Education, Licensing, and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in the HOA management field (strongly preferred).
- CAI designations strongly preferred.
- An associate degree or higher preferred.
Let's Talk Benefits & Pay
The starting salary range for this position is based on the candidate's qualifications and will be discussed further during the interview process. New managers without prior experience working directly with homeowners' associations and without CAI designations can expect to earn between $45,000 and $50,000 annually. More experienced managers who are accustomed to working with homeowners' associations and have CAI designations can expect compensation starting from $50,000 to $60,000 annually. Annual compensation increases will be based on employee performance, and there is a bonus structure for this role based on portfolio size.
