About Us
Inspired by the work and legacy of French artist JR, the Can Art Change the World? Foundation harnesses the power of art to unite and support communities worldwide. We fund and create educational and artistic programs that nurture personal growth, promote community healing, and incite social change through art.
We’re looking for a part-time Communications Intern to support the Communications and Events Manager on executing all outward communications tasks for the foundation. The position is unpaid but eligible for university credits.
What You'll Do
- Help bring communications strategy to life by designing eye-catching graphics and videos for social media and digital platforms using tools like Canva and CapCut (knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus!)
- Interact with the CACTW community by responding to direct messages, emails and comments on social media
- Support on marketing, outreach and public relations as needed
- Support the Communications and Events Manager with day-to-day tasks and brainstorm creative ideas
- Collect and analyze data to refine content strategies and enhance engagement
- Archive assets for communications for all projects
Who You Are
- A college student based in the NYC area
- Skilled in Canva and CapCut, with a great eye for design and aesthetics
- Passionate about the arts, social impact, and nonprofit communications
- A creative thinker who is proactive and full of ideas
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Fluent in French or Portuguese is a plus
Other Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking, sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to work on-site in New York City
- 5-month commitment to internship required
