Can Corporation of America is a leader in the manufacturing of steel cans used in the agriculture and various other industries. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure they are operating properly. This person will have excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of mechanics. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as you’ll have to stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
Repair broken or faulty machine parts
Perform emergency repairs
Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
Align and calibrate machine parts
Monitor and report on project progress
Adjust equipment to conform to Quality Standards
Performs change overs on equipment to run different sizes of productts
Inspect our wide range of equipment for worn and broke parts
Troubleshoots mechanical components of the m/c during breakdown and maintenance
Reads and understands operation manuals and had the ability to use different tool including measuring tools, such as Calipers and Micrometers
Follow safety rules and regulations
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role
Trade or vocation school preferred but not required
Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
Mechanical aptitude and ability
Strong computer skills
Physical dexterity
Good troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Salary : $46,000 - $62,000
