The responsibilities of this role include:
- • Performing a variety of structural assembly operations, including assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures;
• Riveting structural members, assemblies, and parts using all required tools;
• Reading work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations;
• Checking all work and ensuring a defective-free assembly prior to final inspection;
• Instructing and assisting other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders;
• Maintaining and using all logs and records;
• Aligning and assembling parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners;
• Making repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO);
• Participating in continuous improvement activities;
Key Responsibilities
The Aircraft Structural Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- • Assisting and instructing other team members;
• Developing methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems;
• Using and maintaining company-provided tools and equipment;
• Returning items to the tool room after use;
