THE OPPORTUNITY
Shipping and Receiving Clerk :
Connexus is looking to add to its team with a new Shipping and Receiving Clerk. High performance in this role is critical to efficient production and smooth business operations.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments and preparing items for shipment. The successful candidate will be predisposed to accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration as maintaining accurate inventory records and working well with other departments is critical for smooth logistics and operations. They will also have a strong and demonstrated history of working and excelling in a fast-paced / high-volume environment.
Specific areas of responsibilities will include but are not limited to
Receiving :
- Accepting and unloading incoming shipments.
- Checking received items against purchase orders or shipping documents for accuracy.
- Inspecting goods for damages or defects, and reporting issues in a timely way.
- Recording and documenting received items in the inventory system.
- Notifying relevant departments or personnel of received shipments.
- Typical daily volumes range from 5 to 10 trucks a day.
Shipping :
Preparing outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them appropriately.Verifying the accuracy of shipping documents and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.Arranging transportation for outgoing shipments.Coordinating with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.Typical daily volumes range from 5 to 10 trucks a day.Inventory Management :
Maintaining inventory records at an accuracy rate of 90 %.Conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.Identifying and reporting obsolete or excess inventory.Communication :
Strong written, oral, and electronic communication skills.Collaborating with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely shipments.Effective and proactive communicating with carriers, couriers, & vendors to track & monitor shipments.Timely notification for impacted and relevant parties (internal and external) of any delays, shortages, or discrepancies.Documentation :
Generating and maintaining shipping and receiving documentation.Completing shipping manifests, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Safety and Compliance :
Striving for 100% adherence to safety procedures and regulations in the handling of goods.Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Ongoing successful completion of all training programs related to safety and job responsibilities.Commitment to safety and the elimination of workplace hazards and risks.Please note that the official job description is available on request. High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in shipping and receiving strongly preferred - min. 1 year.Working knowledge-of and experience-with inventory management systems.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to lift and move heavy objects routinely, up to 50 lbs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Growth mindset and promotability as evidenced by an enthusiasm to learn and grow their skills.Forklift (power & manual) experience a must.REGULAR TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
Compensation :
24 / hour.Work Hours, Schedule, and Location :
Permanent full time @ 40 hrs / week.7 : 00am - 4 : 00pm, Monday - Friday.Onsite in Acworth site.Willingness to work OT when required.Position Within Connexus :
Permanent Full Time, reporting to the manager of Supply Chain and Logistics.Logistics is a critical component of the business flow, bridging the gap between production and delivery by managing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. It ensures that materials are available for production and finished products reach customers on time, playing a vital role in minimizing costs, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining smooth business operations.
Salary : $22 - $24
