General Surgeon
Department of Surgery β Ouellette Campus
The Division of General Surgery at Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) is inviting applications for a full-time General Surgeon to join its team at the Ouellette Campus! The successful candidate is required as soon as March 2024.
The call schedule and availability of elective OR, and Endoscopy, time will be discussed with the successful candidate. On call expectation is to be 1 in 7. Calls are shared equally. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the Trauma Team On-Call service, and Inpatient Trauma Service. The Inpatient Trauma Service is complimented by a dedicated, and experienced NP, who also assists with rounding on general surgery admissions for the General Surgeon post weekend call.
The successful candidate will be provided an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to Windsor and Essex County. WRH also has an affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and candidates have an opportunity to participate in surgical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Qualifications
- Applicant Physicians must have licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and have, or must be eligible, for certification in General Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Expertise in Breast Surgery and Laparoscopic Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter insertion is preferred .
