PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs the telecommunication systems that exist across the assigned CPKC rail network.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- 100% field position, inside and outside working conditions
- Ability to support on call operations (24x7 availability)
- Assist in the support of the data network team to ensure all systems are functioning accurately
- Ability to install, maintain and support telecommunications systems (VHF, Microwave, and PTC)
- Assist in the support of installed camera, desktops and printers, and WIFI systems at assigned locations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to support on call operations
- Assist in the support of the data network team to ensure all systems are functioning accurately
- Ability to install, maintain and support telecommunications systems
- Assist in the support of installed camera, desktops and printers, and WIFI systems at assigned locations

Medical Requirements:

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
