Position Summary:
This position needs to be responsible for the work between the group and the factory and lead help complete the operation and maintenance of the factory's IT equipment, facilities and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT administration or management, network administration, cybersecurity, system integration and project management, with strong early career experience in a technology role within a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and help support IT strategies and policies that align with company objectives, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations.
- Support and sometimes lead IT projects, participating in helping hire and train more junior personnel to ensure effective IT service delivery and project execution.
- Responsible for IT service delivery management and user support at the manufacturing site, ensuring smooth operations across the American factory.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement of IT solutions and services.
- Support the digital factory initiatives for new workshops, production lines, or technical innovation projects. This includes end-user support in both office and workshop environments, such as software/hardware installation, system integration and troubleshooting.
- Manage the day-to-day IT operations at the site, including data maintenance, user permission management, and troubleshooting of computer issues, printers, and scanners.
- Support production and engineering team to address related process issues for continues improvement. Work with engineering team to clarify the process changes and identify the impact on MES or related systems.
- Monitor the workshop network, dashboards, and servers, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution of any exceptions.
- Help oversee installation, debugging, and exception handling of industrial software used in the workshop, such as Bartender, RFID systems, and image processing software.
- Contribute to training for workshop users, organize SOPs and Q&A materials, and assist in the management of workshop IT assets.
- Participate in the planning, documentation, and deployment of new IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT projects with operational goals.
- Assist Corporate IT in equipment docking tasks, including information gathering, vendor and business communication, network connection debugging, and deployment activities.
- Align with Corporate IT management policies, gather IT needs from business departments, and provide feedback to Corporate IT.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 3 years of corporate IT experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing plant environment. Experience in manufacturing/quality/warehousing/logistics IT projects (e.g., SAP, MES, QMS and WMS) is preferred.
- Proficiency in multi-server network environments (Microsoft/Linux), LAN/WAN, Fiber optic and Cisco networking, database, SQL, VMware Vsphere/Microsoft HyperV and Thin client multi-user applications.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing processes and engineering in industries like PV solar and electronics
- Experience with ITIL and ITSM frameworks, along with large-scale enterprise IT outsourcing service management.
- Strong communication abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and adaptability to handle work pressure and provide excellent service.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English is must, suitable for use as working languages.
- Knowledge of industry-specific IT requirements and regulations is a plus.
- Requires working under tight schedule to support 24/7 production operations.
- Based at the manufacturing site, with occasional travel to support the other sites.
