This position plays a critical role in ensuring that production runs efficiently, cost-effectively, and meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The Process Engineering Manager involves leading a team of engineers, collaborating with various departments, and implementing innovative solutions to improve production methods.

The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes within an organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that production runs efficiently, cost-effectively, and meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The Process Engineering Manager involves leading a team of engineers, collaborating with various departments, and implementing innovative solutions to improve production methods.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess process capability, product technology, cell performance, equipment stability, and yield rates for new production lines. Identify and implement improvements for projects that do not meet required standards.
- Provide support during equipment installation and material commissioning. Document and summarize commissioning issues, collaborating with relevant departments for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Lead the process engineering team and collaborate with other teams to ensure clear goals and objectives for the engineering team.
- Participate in technical discussions to define equipment solutions and assist in the pre-acceptance of equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Analyze production data and identify trends or issues impacting process performance.
- Conduct failure analysis for customer complaints, identifying root causes and developing preventive action plans to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Regularly review process technology performance, production yield targets, and process engineering capabilities. Develop and implement improvement plans to continuously optimize process efficiency and production capabilities.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through sourcing of new vendors and alternative materials to optimize procurement efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for process improvement for manufacturing operations and provide improvement plans for current production process.
- Identify operational and system improvements and learning opportunities through conducting field standard practice reviews.
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in electronics, materials, chemical, engineering or other related degree.
- Minimum of (8) eight years’ experience in process engineering and process integration.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of best practices for a manufacturing facility and production line. Battery & Solar & semiconductor manufacturing industry a plus.
- 3 plus years of experience in a managerial position for an engineering team.
- Ability to drive process optimization, process control, process improvement and sustaining.
- Strong sense of responsibility, highly motivated, forward thinking, and proactive.
- Good communication and teamwork skills and “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills required with thorough working knowledge on DOE, PFMEA, Control Plans, Lean Manufacturing concepts, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
- Bilingual in Mandarin Required.
