Location :

This position is remote, allowing you to work from your home office; however, it requires up to 60% travel across your sales territory. Ideal candidates should reside within one hour of a major airport.

Position Summary :

Canadian Solar is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager for our Modules group to cultivate customer relationships and identify business opportunities. In this role, you'll be empowered to discover new prospects, drive sales, and establish Canadian Solar as a leader in the market through our extensive product portfolio. Expect to engage in frequent face-to-face interactions with clients and travel around 60% of the year.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Engage with existing and potential clients to develop strong connections, ensuring our solutions align with their needs.
  • Proactively source and reach out to new leads through various channels.
  • Craft a strategy to penetrate accounts and expand the customer base.
  • Meet or exceed targets for sales volume, revenue, gross margin, and territory management.
  • Oversee the sales cycle of our photovoltaic products while providing tailored project support as necessary.
  • Regularly communicate sales forecasts, opportunities, and customer feedback.
  • Gather competitive market intelligence to inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to represent Canadian Solar and cultivate new sales opportunities.
  • Travel approximately 50-60% of the year to meet customers.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in the photovoltaic industry.
  • Must live within an hour of a major airport.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with customers.
  • Technical sales experience or an engineering background is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly grasp details about the solar energy sector and become knowledgeable about local market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Experience in value selling and account penetration strategies is essential.
  • Skilled in identifying decision makers within complex sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Sales Force.com.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, competitive spirit, and a proactive attitude.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

    Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package, including performance bonuses based on annual objectives. Our benefits include a 401(k) plan, medical / dental / life / disability insurance, paid time off, and sick days.

    The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000, based solely on annual base salary, excluding bonuses or other incentives. This range is subject to change.
