TITLE: Assistant to the Treasurer - Accounts Payable

REPORTS TO: Treasurer (Directly), Superintendent (Indirectly)
JOB GOAL:
1. Develop and maintain an accurate and efficient system for the processing and payment
of bills.
2. Update and maintain all vendor records.
3. Develop and maintain effective working arrangements with
principals and staff.
4. Help to maintain a courteous, efficient, helpful, accurate, and harmonious central
office organization.
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Payable:
- Have a thorough knowledge of current guidelines issued by State Auditor’s Office.
- Receive and process mail from internal sources (pink copies of purchase orders) and from external sources (invoices, etc.)
- Keep accurate record of all transactions and payments.
- Attend workshops and in service meetings to upgrade and improve professional skills and provide growth.
- Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer or designee.
ADDITIONAL WORKING
CONDITIONS: Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement conditions.
Occasional interaction among unruly children.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) month contract
Eight (8) hours per day, ½ hour non-paid lunch

with the District.”
EVALUATION: Annually by Treasurer
