What does a BSA Analyst at CNB do?
Responsible for a variety of duties to primarily support the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Corporate Risk prevention functions. Participate in developing, implementing, and administering all segments of the institution’s BSA programs. Supports the implementation of strategies that drive goals as outlined by the Corporate Risk department leadership team. Through various analysis work, the BSA Analyst and department ensures the bank’s compliance with various operating policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Communicate and interface with other divisions and management personnel. Provide periodic management reports and program related training
What is needed to be successful in this role?
- A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience in retail banking or related positions normally required.
- Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and other fraud related regulations and concepts preferred.
- Knowledge of the bank’s products and services is desired.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office)
What does a successful first year in this position look like?
- Monitor compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures; refer concerns to the appropriate department manager.
- Process the daily OFAC scan of all customer databases. Decision all alerts to determine if there is a true match.
- Assist other areas with decisioning close potential OFAC matches.
- Assist in the compliance of 314(a) responsibilities.
- Completes enhanced due diligence research with documentation on customers presenting elevated risk.
- Reviews and processes Currency Transactions Report (CTR) daily and communicates with Retail Operations and/or BSA management when situations need to be further researched or verified.
- Identify potential CTR exemptions.
- Perform CTR exemption reviews.
- Completes High Risk Reviews and reports findings or trends to BSA/AML management team.
- Analyzes customer behavior profiles to set transaction parameters at the appropriate level.
- Provide support to branch staff and other departments in response to concerns relating to BSA/AML compliance programs.

Compensation range- $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
