What does a summer intern at CNB do?
As the only local, full-service, community-owned financial institution in the Rochester area, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust is investing in you . Our interns experience firsthand what it is like working in the world of financial services. As a summer intern you will work side by side with our team to provide individuals, businesses, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations access to all the financial services they will ever need. Interns will act as a member of the team for the summer, assisting the department help achieve the bank’s goal – of ensuring our community thrives and grows.
Throughout the summer, intern will have an opportunity to connect with each other, shadow within a branch, network with different departments, and enjoy social events. The summer will culminate in presentation to their managers and the Executive Team.
This position is a paid internship / co-op for Summer 2025. Program begins Tuesday, May 27th, 2025.
Loan Operations Intern
The Operations intern will help the Operations department in performing various clerical duties relating to the banking operations function; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the banking operations function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information originating from across the organization; performing administrative tasks to support department operations; providing guidance and limited scope on-the-job training to Loan Operations Representatives; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
This role will assist the Loan Operations team here at CNC by :
- Onboarding and Quality Control of Consumer purpose loans (secured by Automobile, Airplane, Overdraft Protection, Consumer Goods, Unsecured, etc.).
- Onboarding and Quality Control of Residential Mortgage loans and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
- Processing and Quality Control of approved Payment Extensions for Consumer Loans
- Processing of Loan Payments
- Processing and Quality Control of Annual Escrow Statements
- Assisting with the balancing of General Ledgers associated with the Operations function.
What would our ideal candidate look like?
Schedule : M-F 8 : 30a.m. – 5 p.m., with flexibly depending on needs.

Compensation - $18 per hour
The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
