ROLE PURPOSE
The Food Runner at RISING TIDE tap & table is a key contributor to the guest experience - personifying our brand promise. To maintain consistency in product execution and ensure all food from the Kitchen is presented to standard and in timely delivery to the Guest.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Guarantees 100% recipe adherence by working closely with the Expo in verifying all prepared food meets Rising Tide standards, follows recipe requirements, and adheres to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
- Works to support the direction of the shift’s Expo to complete all plates/trays and menu items with appropriate sauces/garnishes.
- Accurately deliver menu items to guests by using pivot point seating standards – announcing and complimenting each item. Follows through with any additional guest requests and informs server/bartender of the same.
- During the delivery of food, communicates with guests concerning any pending issues or obstacles and informs server/bartender of the same.
- Works to support the direction of the shift’s Expo in taking on primary responsibility for assembling and packaging To-Go orders to standards. When complete, delivers them to the Host Stand for Guest pickup.
- Stocks/organizes product on expo finish line and ensures rotation of product throughout the shift. May also complete projects as assigned such as front line sweeps and organizing product in coolers, dry storage, and freezers during non peak periods.
- Completes assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station. Breaks down and cleans station thoroughly on a daily basis.

- Guest and team member feedback on quality of service, productivity, relationships and partnership (minimum standards to be set by internal metrics)
- HDI Audits meet/exceeds company standards
- 100% Recipe Adherence (including plating and garnishing final product)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must demonstrate 100% menu knowledge through procedures and product garnishments
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high volume stressful environment
- Completed Certified Professional Food Handler Certification
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Must be able to bend frequently, working indoors 75%; outdoors 25%
- Must be able to lift and carry sacks and cases of up to 70lbs, up to 20 times per shift: placing these items on high shelves and walk-in freezers
- Must speak clearly to communicate with others
- Must be able to communicate with requests from Expo, Servers, and Bartenders in a work environment with frequent loud background noise
- Must be able to read orders on the KMS screen
