Job Summary
This role will exercise independent judgment and discretion while performing analytical and administrative scope of work involved with planning, organizing, and coordinating of the cruise business line at the second busiest cruise Port in the world. The Analyst, Cruise Business development will maintain Port Canaveral’s cruise vessel schedule, ensure compliance with cruise line partner operating agreements, and provide analysis of cruise line vessels, passenger, and parking throughput.
Essential Functions
The following list of essential functions is representative of the tasks performed in this position. It is not an exhaustive list, and management may assign additional duties as needed.
- Build and maintain knowledge of the Port Tariff and cruise line operating agreements.
- Maintain Port’s master cruise schedule and manage cruise ship berthing requests.
- Compile and analyze data to support business development strategies and decision-making.
- Develop reports, processes, financial data, and forecast information as part of the Port’s strategic plan for cruise business development
- Provide recommendations to optimize the efficiency of business development initiatives based on data insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress toward cruise business objectives.
- Support the creation and evaluation of business cases for cruise terminal projects.
- Work closely with internal departments, including operations, legal, finance, communications, and engineering to ensure alignment with cruise business development objectives.
- Assist in coordinating the preparation of proposals, presentations, and negotiations for potential cruise business opportunities.
- Conduct industry research on cruise market trends, competitors, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities.
- Support the development of business relationships by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and assisting in follow-up communications.
- Provide general administrative support to the Business Development team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
- Assist with contract administration, including the tracking of agreements and deliverables.
- Ability to understand cruise agreements from both the side of the cruise business partner and CPA to support the VP and Director.
- Coordinate travel and logistics for business development-related events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Help organize and coordinate industry events, trade shows, and client meetings related to cruise business development.
- During emergency conditions, all CPA employees are automatically considered essential employees and may be subject to recall. These events may include, but are not limited to, natural, man-made, or public health emergencies. Employees may be expected to perform emergency and/or recovery operations outside of their normal assigned responsibilities and routine working hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, data analytics, marketing, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience which must include a high school diploma/GED plus an additional three (3) years of recent experience in data analysis or finance.
- Minimum of (3) years recent experience in business analysis or finance, preferably related to passenger transportation.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and analyze cruise data to support an effective business development plan
- Proficient in computer applications for statistical analysis, report preparation, and presentations. Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, able to forecast in excel or ability to learn this skill quickly.
Licenses / Certification Required:
- Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days
- Ability to secure a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
Physical Requirements:
- Tasks may involve the ability to exert light physical effort in a sedentary to light work environment
- May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 lbs).
