What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Assistant (Temporary) position at CANBY SD 86?
Canby School District is hiring a TEMPORARY 10 hour per week Childcare Assistant to begin March 3rd, 2025 and end June 11, 2025. This position serves the after school childcare program at Trost Elementary School from 2:30-4:30 daily.
Minimum Qualifications
- Meet minimum qualifications as outlined in OAR 414-300-0100, including, but not limited to:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have completed a combination of coursework and/or experience as described in the “Teacher” definition in the Rules for the Certification of Child Care Centers
- Have or obtain a First Aid and CPR Card and a Food Handler’s Card.
- Registration in the Office of Childcare’s Central Background Registry.
- To be placed at Level L: Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and community members in English and in Spanish, as demonstrated by passing the district bilingual assessment.
