Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) that assists the physician and / or registered nurses in providing patient care in a clinical setting. This position performs routine activities required for the efficient operation of the clinic and assures the efficient and effective functioning of clinic processes. You must be a graduate from an accredited LPN program or CMA program, with the preference of one year of experience in a medical setting or LPN license in the state of Nebraska.

Key responsibilities Include :
- Patient Care - accompanying patients to exam / procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, collecting patient history, performing screenings per provider guidelines, assisting physicians / nurses with bone marrow biopsies and other sterile procedures as needed, charting, relaying instructions to patients / families, answering calls and providing pertinent information
- Clerical - determining which medical records are required for patient visits, calling in prescriptions, completing forms / requisitions as needed
- Environmental - setting up instruments and equipment according to protocol, cleaning exam / procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, ordering, sorting, storing supplies, restocking exam / procedure rooms
