Job Summary: Performs administrative, information, technical, and clerical functions required to facilitate the workflow and efficient operations of the department. Responsibilities include reception, word processing, data collection and entry, generating reports, maintain supplies, secretarial functions, initiates medical records, orders supplies, answers telephone, relays messages and various other receptionist duties. Enters charges into billing system and audit. Audit medical documentation for appropriate coding.
Education: High school diploma or GED. College degree in business or healthcare preferred
Experience: Minimum one year of experience in healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology, patient registration, and billing experience in a physician office.
