What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Cardiac Stepdown Unit position at Candidate Experience site?
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor facilitates daily nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, assists with overall unit compliance with JCAHO standards and collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to best meet patient clinical needs. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor in General Surgical Nursing supports the objectives of the Director of Medical Surgical Nursing and is responsible for the clinical management and day to day operations of the unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
EDUCATION PREFERRED
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license approved by the Georgia Licensing Board for GA locations and Alabama Licensing Board for AL locations
BLS certification
LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED
ACLS certification
Certification in related specialty
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Progressive leadership
Administrative and clinical competencies
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
2 years operating room experience
