What are the responsibilities and job description for the EC Technician - AH Baldwin Emergency Room - PRN position at Candidate Experience site?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the RN, performs patient care duties as described herein. Must demonstrate competency in basic and complex direct patient care, throughput processes and additional functionality required by the unit. Must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, teamwork, organization and prioritization skills. Is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the care of assigned patients. Must be flexible in changing assignments, workload and learning new skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
Essential Functions:
Assist with transports from our HELIPAD
Measure and record patients vital signs
Phlebotomy
EKG
Wound cleaning and dressing
Assist with trauma events
Measure and record patient blood sugar
Assist with clerical work if needed
Maintains stock supply in the room
Education, Training, and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Prefer experience taking care of patients and dealing with the public.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
