Job Summary
Assists leadership in coordinating events and group visits. Coordinates a dynamic program to interact with and facilitate visits within the hospital. Interfaces with the community and may serve as a contact for media and community relations.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates events, group visits and donation deliveries.
- Communicates with community groups in a timely manner and gathers the appropriate visit documentation.
- Promotes, schedules and confirms group visits.
- Maintains open communication with all necessary departments to ensure successful events.
- Ensures patients that participate in events where media is invited have appropriate consent forms signed by parents or guardians.
- Coordinates any donation delivery and distribution.
- Maintains regular communication with the website and social media sites designed to share donation, event and group visit stories and pictures.
- Promotes a safe environment and performs all work related job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, sitting, lifting and reaching. Must lift a minimum of 15 lbs. to shoulder height. Intact sense of sight and hearing is required.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Computer skills with word processing, databases and spreadsheets preferred. Positive and effective skills working with children and adults preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Good organizational and time management skills are required. The ideal candidate would possess previous healthcare experience and/or event coordinator experience preferably with the pediatric population.
