Cetera Financial Group (CFG) is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to lead and serve as a Lead Finance Business Partner for capital and M&A projects and strategic initiatives supporting decision-making processes, managing annual budgets, and delivering financial KPI insights. Engage with project and initiative leads to support the approval process and monitor ongoing performance. Partner with the broader organization to drive operating efficiencies and present monthly discussions and analyses of results.
What you will do:
- Design and maintain insightful reporting and analysis of one-time costs, ongoing costs of new initiatives, ongoing benefits of new initiatives, and integration synergies for approved projects and initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with the strategy, project management, integrations, and corporate development teams to drive improvements and efficiencies in reporting processes and distribution including tracking metrics aligned with objectives.
- Prepare and present materials for steering and leadership meetings to drive enterprise performance.
- Assist in leading project and initiative approval processes.
- Assist in leading project and initiative budget and forecast processes.
- Review project and initiative results before each accounting close to ensure accuracy.
- Research and explain financial variances each month.
- Develop excellent relationships with colleagues across the business to foster an effective cross-functional working environment and collaborative spirit.
- Direct, guide, and develop the team for high performance.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Analytics
- Demonstrated experience leading teams.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to extract, manipulate, and turn large sets of data into actionable insights.
- Experience using large financial reporting systems (i.e., Essbase, Oracle Hyperion, etc.).
What is nice to have:
- Highly motivated with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- Management experience in the Financial Service industry.
Travel Requirements: Up to (10%).
