What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at Candidate Experience site?
Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking an Internal Audit Intern for twelve weeks based in San Diego (four days a week onsite). This is an Internal Audit opportunity to support audit assessment, testing, data analysis, and report creation.
What you will do:
- Support the Internal Audit team in executing the annual audit plan including walkthrough notes, flow-charting, control testing, and report creation.
- Support annual General Information Technology Controls testing.
- Ad-hoc assignments including but are not limited to PowerPoint creation and supporting our annual Enterprise Risk Assessment.
- Study for and pass the FINRA Security Industries Essentials (SIE) exam by the end of the internship.
- Present a summary of your internship experience to leadership at the end of the intern period.
- Participate in educational sessions with various departments such as FP&A, Treasury, IT, Marketing, M&A, etc.
- Participate in career development sessions with C-Suite executives.

What you need to have:
- Must be an incoming senior or a recently graduated senior pursuing a degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint functions.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
