Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking an Internal Audit Intern for a 12 week internship program. This is an Internal Audit opportunity to support with audit assessment, testing, data analysis and report creation.
The Internal Audit internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain real world experience and develop professional skills in a dynamic environment. You will work on meaningful projects, build professional connections, and learn from experienced professionals. Please note that this position requires working at our San Diego, CA office: 4 days in office, 1 day work from home. The total work week will be 40 hours.
What you will do:
- Support the Internal Audit team execute the annual audit plan including: walkthrough notes, flow-charting, control testing, and report creation.
- Support annual General Information Technology Controls testing.
- Ad-hoc assignments including, but not limited to Powerpoint creation and supporting our annual Enterprise Risk Assessment.
- Study for and pass FINRA Security Industries Essentials (SIE) exam by end of internship.
- Present a summary of your internship experience to leadership at the end of the intern period.
- Participate in educational sessions with various departments such as FP&A, Treasury, IT, Marketing, M&A, etc.
- Participate in career development sessions with C-Suite executives.

Qualifications:
- Must be an incoming senior or a recently graduated senior pursuing a degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint functions.
- Strong ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $25 per hour. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
