What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Trades Specialist Lead-HVAC position at Candidate Experience site?
Serves as the technical lead for performing advanced preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs across various building, utility/support and Life Safety systems. Acts as a subject matter expert, mentoring and assisting other Trade Specialists on complex issues. Coordinates and facilitates the work of others but is not a supervisor.
Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
Diagnoses and implements complex repairs for multiple Utility System, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems.
Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems.
Operates, monitors and maintains advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and provides oversight of building automation systems to maintain and improve system efficiencies.
Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems
Reads and updates blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
Interfaces with vendors, contractors and construction vendors to ensure safe utility interfacing and tie-in.
Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and ensuring required testing, calibrations and maintenance records are provided and maintained.
Education
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.
Certification / License
Valid Driver’s License. Industry recognized Trades Certification/License requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain.
Experience: 5 or more Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
Clear written and verbal communication skills required.
Advanced computer skills/competency required in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems.
Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
Clear understanding of multiple trades and systems and how they interconnect and support the location.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force.
Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions.
Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Preferred Job Requirements10 Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations :Associate’s degree. Military equivalent is accepted
