Cetera Retirement Plan Solutions (CRPS) is an organization focused solely on supporting the growth of our network of financial professionals’ retirement plan businesses, we have several in-house solutions that help streamline their books of business and to encourage growth. All of these solutions are built around a Plan Advice and Consulting Program (PACP), which is the foundation and baseline for all our additional solutions and services.
Sales Manager, Retirement Sales Consultants will contribute to the generation of growth and profitability within Cetera branded 401k products through the attainment of specific quotas achieved from driving retirement plan sales activity with Cetera advisors. The person in this position should demonstrate a high level of professionalism; possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities.
This is a hybrid role for one of our office locations: Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA
What you will do:
- Lead the Retirement Sales Team; ensuring sales of Cetera branded 401k products are met consistently throughout the team.
- Develop and coach Sales Team including training new Sales Consultants in support of Cetera retirement plan goals.
- Drive sales throughout the country with inbound/outbound calls with Cetera advisors to promote the adoption of Cetera branded 401k products.
- Identify retirement plan opportunities, develop advisor relationships, and promote adoption of employer sponsored retirement plans within an advisors practice.
- Deliver presentations to financial professionals, tax professionals and business owners and prepare competitive analysis and customized proposals.
- Administer multiple facets of the sales process, including phone calls, coordination of meetings, creation of presentations and support materials, follow-up tasks, etc…
- Perform analytical review and benchmarking of proposals, including pricing and product service capabilities, as well as collaborate with department head in determining final recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate follow up information to Cetera advisors and prospective clients.
- Stay abreast of industry and government changes affecting retirement plans.

What you need to have:
- 7 years of sales experience with a significant portion of those years focused on marketing retirement plan products
- Required: FINRA Series 65
- Preferred: FINRA Series 7, 66, 63, & Insurance Licenses
- Understanding of financial markets and retirement plan regulations.
- Must have excellent prospecting and closing skills, sales planning, selling to customer needs, and market knowledge.
- Demonstrated written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage to define deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and/or five years or more related experience or training preferred
- Internal/External retirement plan wholesaling experience preferred.
- Retirement plan sales management experience a plus.
Travel Requirements: Between 25-50% Travel
Compensation:
The base annual salary range for this role is $110k to $140k, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
