What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Trauma Registry position at Candidate Experience site?
Primary Purpose :Responsibility for trauma registry staff and ensuring trauma data is accurate, reliable, and timely to meet current state and American College of Surgeons standards.
Major Responsibilities:
Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of care delivery models and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Leads concurrent data validation/ Inter-rater reliability (IRR) process to ensure data integrity. Data validation includes but is not limited to reviewing ITDX Validation Report, TQIP Submission Frequency Report, Data Download Report, and TQIP Benchmark report for data discrepancies and patient population trends.
Responsible for Trauma Registrar staff for work schedules, time-card approval, evaluations, facilitating registry meetings, delegating duties, onboarding, and providing leadership and decision-making support.
Performs timely transfer of trauma registry data to designated systems, including national and state agencies (Trauma Quality Improvement Program [TQIP], National Trauma Data Bank, [NTDB], Georgia’s Department of Public Health Trauma Registry [DPH] and the Quality Improvement Program [GQIP]) per published submission deadlines.
Operates as the primary contact/liaison between Trauma Services, the trauma registry and/or EMR software vendor and AHN Information Technology (IT) department to manage software updates, software access, EMR data access, and identification/correction of trauma registry software mapping and schema issues.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Associate’s degree required, preferably in a healthcare field.
Current Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR) required. Current Certified Abbreviated Injury Scaling Specialist (CAISS) required.
