What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Control Specialist| FT |DAY position at Candidate Experience site?
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of the Central Business Office (CBO) and the general supervision of the Director of the CBO performs the daily balancing of cash posting and the nightly patient accounting cycle while facilitating the correction of errors identified by the electronic billing software and compliance software. Monitors charges received daily from all systems during the nightly cycle to ensure accuracy in receipt, dates and prices of charges. Performs rebilling of insurance claims and insures that all systems are properly updated and noted to reflect rebills. Provides user access to various patient accounting systems and worklists. Responsible for updating patient insurance changes to encounters as requested. Monitors files sent and received from the patient accounting system to external vendors. Investigates potential HIPAA violations to determine necessary corrective action that should be taken. Deals with internal customers in a professional and businesslike manner. Analyzes departmental processes for the purpose of implementing enhanced system functionality.
Specifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration; four (4) years of directly related experience providing skills comparable to a Business Administration degree program will satisfy the degree requirement. 2. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience to include healthcare revenue cycle, accounting, finance, claims or other similar experience.
