JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the Director of Pharmacy, manages the daily operations of systems within in the Department of Pharmacy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required. Pharm. D. Degree preferred. Advanced business degree and completion of a Residency program preferred. Two years' pharmacy management experience preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
Active registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Leads people and manages systems.
2. Guides and ensures the completion of operational improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Mentors coordinators and staff members in the areas of responsibility to facilitate and reinforce learning.
4. Plans, implements, and evaluates programs to ensure that optimal, high quality pharmaceutical care is provided.
5. Develops and ensures the implementation of strategic initiatives.
6. Achieves maximum utilization, efficiency, performance and safety of processes within the systems of responsibility.
7. Ensures systems are performing according to scorecard metrics.
8. Integrates pharmacy operational systems across functional teams and work areas within the department.

Subject to changes in work schedules and areas to meet customer/department needs
