What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Aide Supervisor position at Candidate Experience site?
Responsible for training new rehab aides and assisting in yearly competency check offs in all areas of rehabilitation services. Responsible for completing evaluations on all the Inpatient, Acute, and Outpatient rehabilitation aides with input from Program Leaders in those areas. Provide weekly supervision at Rome Inpatient and Outpatient locations and provides combined monthly meetings. Provides monthly meetings at Polk Swingbed location and quarterly visits / supervision meetings with rehabilitation aides at all outpatient satellite locations. Sets up schedule for routine workload and coverage between locations for all rehabilitation aides. Manages the supplies/linen being ordered by Rome Inpatient and Outpatient and evaluates any opportunity for savings between sharing at locations. Manages the retail sales at Rome Outpatient location. Coordinate shadowing experiences for highschool and undergrad students and build relationship with multiple school settings. Performs all responsibilities of rehabilitation aide role as needed. Manage equipment maintenance and upholstery. Environment of Care Readiness Checklist review for all locations.
Requirement:
A. Education
1. Ability to read and write as normally acquired through high school education or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
B. Experience
1. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, skills and proficiency as a Rehabilitation Aide/Physical therapy aide as acquired through supervised on-the-job orientation and training of at least one year.
2. Demonstrated competence in communication with populations which may include child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
3. Past history of school or employment leadership experience preferred.
