We are currently seeking to add an Enrollment Specialist/ Education Counselor to our growing team. The Education Counselor is responsible for developing, leading, and delivering employee enrollment and education meetings for retirement plan clients and their employees, both on-site at client locations and virtually. This individual will possess the ability to speak confidently in front of large groups and individuals in a one-on-one setting. The Education Counselor will speak with knowledge of retirement plans and investment portfolios. The Education Counselor will lead and implement program enhancements for presentations and materials for participant education.
Core Responsibilities:
- Setting and driving education programs for retirement plan clients – including 401(k), 403(b), and DB cash balance plans
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with plan sponsors and financial professionals
- Serving as liaison between 3rd party partners (recordkeepers, third party administrators and financial professionals) and home office in relation to education programs
- Planning and conducting enrollment and education meetings – both on-site and virtually
- Preparing education programs and collateral
- Driving plan participation and overall plan contributions through participant education solutions
- Stay current with changing retirement plan rules and regulations
- Differentiating Cetera’s retirement plan solutions to drive client retention
- Assist the sales team with new business opportunities as needed
- Cross sell Cetera solutions and services
What you will have:
- Knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations relating to qualified retirement plans
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 licensing preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) software experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in relevant course of study, or relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in financial services industry
Compensation:
The base annual salary range for this role is $20.00 to $22.00, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
